NEF on TV
« on: August 29, 2006, 01:52:15 PM »
Was watching a CASS show on Outdoor Channel the pther day and they were shooting BP and other straight wall rounds, mostly single shots.

Well one fellow was shooting an H&R 45-70, std model.  Not the BC.  He had just gotten the rifle and was pleased with it.  Not much more than that, other than the jump from recoil was noticable.

I haven't seen that, but I have noticed some more advertising pages in various magizines lately. Guess Marlin is loosening the noose a bit  ;D Good to see I guess.

saw the same show, loved the color case hardening on that 45/70, i think they also make that rifle in 38-55. Im going to have to find me one of those!

Yes they indeed do, many here have them in both .38-55 Target and .45-70 Buffalo Classic, although my .38-55 is now a .405 Winchester and one of my BCs is a .45-120. Everyone needs at least one .45-70!!! ;D

That 405 setup is sweet looking.  Love the long barrel, pistol grip and scope combo.  How accurate is it?
