P90 and 345
« on: September 01, 2006, 06:40:04 AM »
I have to say that I am slowly converting over to Ruger Full time. I have a Springfield Match and loaded 1911 and a Para Carry LDA, which are both super guns. I am how ever very happy with my new 345 and if you have ever shot a P 90 you know it is a great gun as well. How many of you have shot a 45 acp Ruger and loved it?? I think 1911's have there place too, but there are other 45's out there.

A man after my own heart! I too like the good alternatives to the 1911. The ergonomics of the newer designs are just better. I still can't understand why the 1911 is as popular as it is. I've got an Italian 45 that's so much nicer than the 1911 it's amazing. Super accurate and easier to maintain too.

Quester, I think it's because the 1911 has been in so many war movies and people with 1911's have spent a lot of time and money on them so that they will shot well, that when other people on the range see 1911's perform they have to go out and get one. It's like a glock owners, if you don't have one you aren't sh**. That's not the way it should be, if the gun works for you good if it doesn't ok too. I know my P90 is a laser @ 25yds., but everyone puts Ruger's down. I shot better with the P90 than my Sig 245, how's that for a slap in the face and the Sig cost twice as much. All I am saying is that there are other guns out there to look at. I am still wondering about a CZ in 45acp

I do like my 1911.
And I like my XD 45.

But my ruger 45 acp handles more ammo better than any. Pretty much all ammo I have bought or loaded.
And I hit better wiith the ruger.p97dc.
Why do I hit better ? It does not seem like I should but I do.
I have more rugers than any other single make of gun.
I like the ruger 45 acp's.

Earl

I have two Springfields and a Ruger P345. The Ruger shoots just as good, cost less, and has never had a failure of any kind. Have never traded or sold a Ruger. Had a Taurus PT145 Millinium Pro and traded it in a weak moment. Was a great carry gun. Wish I had it back.
