Artic Sheild anybody have this in a jacket?
« on: April 10, 2007, 05:55:40 PM »
I bought a pair of bibs for tree stand hunting in Canada and they are nice and warm.  Just wondered if the jacket or parka is just as good?  Please tell me which one you have used.  Cold as can be deer hunting in Saskatchewan in late November.   Thanks  Buckfever

I am thinking about this product also.  I have an acquaintance at work that has the parka and bibs ( the H3 model apparently they have an H5 model out now)  He hunted in Canada, said it was 20 below and he was very comfortable. He loved them. Said they made a slight rustling noise but had no problems drawing on deer with his bow.  But, I have no personal experience with it.  Don't know if I would be better of with parka and bibs or something like the heaterbodysuit.

I have the Arctic Shield parka, it's so warm I have to carry it to and from my stand, otherwise I get overheated wearing it!!
Once I'm on my stand it's great , it really blocks the wind.

I'm still trying to decide between the artic shield stuff or the heaterbody suit.  Is yours quiet enough for bow hunting?  Is it the h3 model or h5?
