Here we go.
Nef with 243 24" bull barrel with a 4-12x44mm mounted on it.
Nef with 45-70 32" with a 3-10x44mm mounted on it.
Heres a groups shot with my NEF rifle, 3rd barrel is a 50 caliber Muzzleloader barrel with 4x32mm scope on it.
After I got the scopes set in there Millet Rings I headed out back to give her a try. After I hit paper with the bullet I shot a 3 shot group with each. This is only at 50 yards and I only put 10 shots through each barrel but they show good promise.
3 shots 50 yards 243 100gr, cough...factory Power Shock Federal.
To early to tell but it looks like I have a few shooters here. The muzzleloader barrel with put 3 shots touching at 50 yards with 100grs of 777 and a 245gr PowerBelt.
3 shots 45-70 with 405gr jacketed flat pointed, some of dads reloads for his Sharps.
Tonight I took the trigger apart and did some polishing and took that 5 pound trigger down to about 2 pounds and it breaks like glass, almost a good as my built bench gun. I have been shooting the 45-70 more then the 243 becaue its alot more fun. With a 500gr home cast and a case full of IMR Trail Boss I am getting a clover leaf at 50 yards.
I am Happy. I see what the 243 will do tomorrow with that trigger work and those Federal Power Shock 100gr pills.
