CG Bonehill Shotgun
« on: September 18, 2006, 06:27:11 PM »
I have just received a CG Bonehill 12 gauge double barrel shotgun. The only other thing written on the barrel is Fine Steel Damascas. It has the exposed triggers, but not a muzzleloader, it takes 12 gauge shotgun shells and has 30 inch barrels. The hammers nead work for sure. Any info on this one? Thanks-Jack.

Are you sure you mean exposed triggers and not exposed HAMMERS? I can't imagine a gun with the triggers not being exposed.  ???

If it had damascus barrels it should NEVER EVER again be fired regardless of the ammo. They are just plain not safe. Now there is an outfit who will line the barrels for you with high strength thin wall steel to return it to firing condition but I think the price is several thousand dollars so would only be worthwhile for a VERY expensive gun. Best to just hang it on the wall in as is condition and look at it. That's all it's good for.
