All I can suggest is you try different ammunition. You might be surprised as to what works best. Each gun is different and will most likely shoot one brand and bullet type better than others. The only way to find out, is to try as many as you can.
For example. I bought a 4 magnum revolver. My intention was to relaod for it. I just wanted to shoot it. By luck I got a deal on Federal American Eagle 240 JHP. I bought a couple of boxs. The first box I couldn't believe the results. So I tried different brands and kept coming back to the American eagle brand. My gun liked the American Eagle ammunition so much. I decided I didn't need to reload for it.
It is no impressive ammunition as far as bullet construction or velocity but it hits where I aim it. And thats all I really wanted in the first place.
