EER scope for knight youth rifle?

I am getting ready to order a scope for my son's knight youth model wolverine muzzzleloader.  I was wondering if it would be necessary to order an extended eye relief scope due to the rifle's shorter stock?

My wife, because of her glasses, uses an EER scope on her 10/22. It' s a 3x9x40 Bushnell, and it's a great scope. Clear and bright.
