Wondering if this is a fair price.
« on: September 10, 2006, 03:13:30 AM »
I found one that interests me and was wondering if it was a good price.  a field grade revolver with upgraded grips to the premier grade wood.  It has a fully adjustable rear sight. It has a 6" barrel. It comes with the standard 454 cylinder and a brand new, never used, factory fitted, 45 Colt cylinder. The gun is in excellent condition and comes with it's box.  They are asking $1395

Please let me know if you think it is a fair price.

Thanks for the help.

Spencer, Even with the extra cylinder it sounds a little high to me. Its obviously a used gun and and no matter how well it was cared for its used. See if there is not some wiggle room.........Joe............

I think the $1395 is a fair price.  Dealer cost on the gun with the options listed is $1502.  If you are buying this from an individual, I'm sure they paid at least the above amount for the gun unless they picked it up from someone for a song.  If it's from a dealer, it is hard to know what he has in the gun.  Of course, if you can get it for less, go for it.  Good Luck !

Locally (Las Vegas, Salt Lake) I've seen several Premier Grades with the box for $1,199; so even with the spare cylinder it sounds a little high to me.
