Good score at gun show
« on: September 11, 2006, 04:17:28 AM »
Just so happened to run into a guy trying to sell a 357 Max at last weekend's show.   Picked it up for $430.
Blued 6" Vent Heavy, extra 6' barrel (no shroud) that I will sell. Extra  Pachmeyer grips  ( that I will sell), a Burris scope mount (that I will sell), and 400 pcs of brass.  It does need a new barrel nut and the wrench needs epoxy or replaced.
If anybody has a 10" or 12" barrel assy I'd be interested in it.

I have a Max in a United Sporting Arms Seville and love it.  Now this one can join it next to the 445 and 32 H & R mag Dan Wessons.

That's quite a steal. Was the guy still wearing his shirt when you left?

You shouldn't have any problems getting the nut, and ditto on the wrench; my M40's wrench is in the same condition.

Speaking of condition, how's it look? Pictures pretty please?

I don't know how to post picures here ???.  I didn't haggle w/ him.  He named the price of $400 then uped it when he realized how much brass he had.  I paid his price, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I beat him up too bad.  It is in great shape. Very little blue wear, a few nicks in the wood, the timing is a little off.  If I were to shoot it double action it may spit lead.  When I order the barrel nut I might order a "Hand" also.
