I don't actually want one, but I've seen so many derringers in ridiculous un-derringer-ly calibers that it would be a matter of curiosity to know whether anyone has done a 12 gauge. It really wouldn't surprise me if there was one, but I don't recall seeing one.

I wouldn't think a person could even hold it after it was shot unless it had some type of a special grip--oversized would help!!!BCB

Part of our .gov's GCA (pick one) is that there is a .50 caliber limit on handguns (the S&W .500 mag only .490 in bore diameter). Any modern centerfire handgun  with a .500 + bore diameter is considered an AOW and a destructive deivise subject to the $200 tax and months of waiting from the BATFE to authorize the sale. Other wise it's Club Fed.

In the USA a 12ga darringer would be illegal (shortbarreld shotgun or rifle or pistol over 50 caliber) on both counts.
The 45/410 derringer is actually popular enough for some manufacturers to build their name on it - Look at Cobray arms.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
NEVER exceed maximum listed loads.
