SW 9M denting primers
« on: September 10, 2006, 11:35:29 AM »
My friiend has a S&W Sigma 9m that is denting the primers. He cut a small piece off of a credit card and put it behind what he is calling the striker assembly and the gun fires just fine. Any suggestions on what to look for before he takes it to a gunsmith?

I have a 9mm that would not fire a shell every now and again so I replaced the fireing pin spring and that problem went away.

Thanks for the reply. He replaced the firing pin and it is still just denting the primers. Any more ideas, I don't know much about semiauto function?

After replacing the fireing pin with no change I'd contact S&W. Tell them whats happening. They should know what the problem is.
