well i went ahead an did it , i took the shotgun apart, down to the reciver and barrel took them on a polishing wheel type of grinder and buffed all the blueing off of it, took a can of semi gloss enamal for metal its just a clear caoting and sprayed them with three coats of it , worked great so far , cant really tell its ben coated i up rig on the enaml after it dried an that dulled the shine to a flat looking finish , reall gave it an antiqued look

now my old jchiggins double looks like a 100yr old shotgun,
