Ohio has a new class of hunting and trapping license this year , it is called an apprentice license , and the holder does NOT have to have taken a hunter safety course to get this license , but must be accompanied by a holder of a reg. ohio license and must have uninterrupted unaided visual and auditory communications .

It is part of a nat. program called Families Afield to try to get more people into hunting . More info can be found on the ODNR web site .
