 If you're looking for an el-cheapo scope to put on a $70 .22 to kill cans with then Barska may be your ticket.

 Otherwize, BSA,NcStar,Barska,Tasco have no place on top of a real rifle.

 I just picked up the latest US Cav catalogue, and noticed they have a couple of Barskas in there.  They normally don't sell JUNK, just decent stuff at higher prices than you can get elsewhere.  I wonder if Barska has improved to a point where it is considered "acceptable", or has just bought its way into the catalogue?

I just bought one and put it on my 17hmr. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. As soon as i do i'll let everyone know how it works.

I have one on my 223 handi and for a $70 scope it's not to bad , the glass is not as clear as a Bushnell but it does the job . mine is a 6x24x50 and has only been used to shoot P-dogs and paper so far .

Would i buy another one , yes . do i think it is the best you can get for the money , maybe . not all of us can not afford a Lepold or Redfield or Elite 4200 and some of us just are cheap .  ;)

Picked a 4x32 Barska up for a my Mauser project.  Needed a temporary scope to test out the rilfe before I decide on more work and possible rebarreling.  Can always reuse it on an Arisaka I've got waiting as next project.

So far its taken recoil from the heaviest of my 200 grain 8x57 reloads and holds its zero.  Adjusted the bell and got the cross hairs in good focus with targets from 30 to 200 yards.  No parallex with quick check at 100 yards.  Clarity is good at range in daylight.  Did a return to zero on the scope while I was testing reloads - 20 right, 40 up, 40 left, 40 down and 20 right did return to zero.  Did not notice any eye relief issues.

I'm quite satisfied with this inexpensive scope and plan to leave it on rifle for hunting season to see how well it works in field.

Finally got to try out my Barska scope. First three shots were 1" left and 1" low. Moved it four clicks up and four to the right. Next three shots were right were i wanted then. Maybe i'm not as picky as most people but i thought it is a decent scope for the price.

Just last week I bought a Barska Scope (6-24x50)I put it on my Stevens 200 ,, .223caliber.Took a little while to
scope it in at 100yds.Shot up around 100rounds.Hate to say this,but for $69bucks,it did alll right.Can't complain-,
yet..I'm thinking about buying another one for my .17hmr Savage.. 8)

I first noticeed by the finger adjustable turrents on the Barksa, they're the exact same as a BSA scope I once had.

I bought a Barska 4x32 for $29 with mounts for my .22.  Seems to be kinda nice.  I think you can get away with a cheap scope if it is a fixed power, not as much to go wrong.  And if truth be known a fixed 4 or 6 power for a rifle that is to be used under 300 yd.  fixed is plenty good.  I leave my Leopold 2x8 on 5 power.  All shots under 200yd or less. 
But what do we all buy, the gadgets, I am sure that pretty soon there will be a computer aided scope that will do everything for you, Is that needed?  like those video game hunts. 
Hell, I shot a deer on a drive that was on me so fast that when I brought up the rifle all I could see was brown, (5x)  just used rifle like a shotgun and it went down, grazed the heart.  For drives I now use open sights on My M1, got a double last year (legal here) both under 20yd.
