rizzini USA double rifles?

does anyone know anything about these? i was looking at them because i want to find a cheaper priced double rifle and these were what i found......does anyone know what the price of this rifle is? or if there are any other doubles still being manufactured today for under say......600 dollars?

I will just put out a thought why does a double rifle have to cost so much and i would like to know what a decent price for one is i would like a double rifle but can't afford a thousand or more for one gun so how do people find a good one that is affordable and i will also say just cause it is cheaper does not necessarily make it junk and if it is accuarate and handles and feels comfortable then what is wrong with cheaper. this is just my thoughts on this i am sure i will get some comments about this but in my experience the most expensive isn't always the best.

  Because of the HUGE amount of hand work to get one right...

  Can you afford more than one gun???  If not, you have a problem... If you can, do what the rest of us have to do, and sell them off and buy one "quality" gun, and make it a double if that's what you want...

  You can't, unless the person selling it to you has no idea what they have or what it's really worth!

  True, but "expensive" in this case is something like $15,000.00 and UP!, So, less than a $1,000.00 is something like a drop in the bucket!

  Now, my comments are for a S/S double...  O/U doubles are cheaper...

  Cheapest DECENT basic S/S double rifle without a scope or mount "new" will cost you right about $4,500.00 today...

I didn't mean this to sound stupid because i know pretty much nothing about a double rifle.  but in the case of 15k for a good double rifle of even $4500 I will never own one sound like really nice guns if you can afford them at this point in life i can't nor would I pay that much for a gun that is my opinion as i am sure others will pay and can afford to but I can't if i was rich and had the resources to do so i would buy one butot at this point in life.

I would suggest you first identify your requirements for a double rifle.

Other than coolness factor I did not see anything that a double rifle in SxS offered that at O/U did not.  Having said that I ended up with a O/U Double rifle. 

If you buy an O/U double rifle make sure you can adjust the windage and elevation.  If you cant adjust these regulating the gun will be nearly impossible.

For the money you should look at a Valmet double rifle.  They show up on the major gun auction sites and are goneing from $800-$1200.

  When i was young(er) i had a LOT of different guns....  It seems it was all about "quantity" and how could i get my next one...  "it's the American way"....

  Then i realized that if i had a gun that fit me like a glove, was accurate and had everything else like i would want it, i'd be a better game shot and appreciate the gun more...  This led me on a path to "quality" instead of quantity and i've never looked back...

  I'm not rich, i've never made a huge amount of money, but i'm willing to have less to get more, so i sold off many guns to get something i REALLY wanted, and i'm so glad that i did...

  Americans love to buy boats, campers, cabins, atv's and on and on and on, then carry junk into the field... lol lol

  Anyway, you only have to make YOU happy, and double rifles aren't for everyone....  Doug gave some good advice on the Valmet though...  They are the best O/U double for the least money that actually  works....

i am actually starting to lean more towards quality than quanitity but don't own many guns right now will consider the valmet for future reference al;ong with others i like my cheap guns but only certain ones i also like the high end guns to because of the craftsmanship so in the future i will check more into it unless i find a really good deal or a stupid person that doesn't know what they have.

$600 for a gun is not cheap.

Also, expensive does not mean better than inexpensive.  If you like the Rizzini and you think its a good deal you should do what you think best.
Does the gun look like this? 


My only caution about any DR is if it is not regulated at the factory make sure it has easy windage and elevation adjustments.

I am still young and can't do this yet maybe later on and when i do i will look for a good one althogh at this time a rifle of any kind doesn't have alot of purpose for me and it really doesn't matter what kind it iswith living in IL i can't use it to hunt so will be a later investment.
