Gluing a broken stock
« on: September 29, 2006, 02:28:24 AM »
...thread relocated from Winchester Rifles Forum...

Is "Gorilla Glue" an appropriate product for binding a cracked stock on a Win. Classic Featherweight?  Mine is cracked from the bottom of the bolt detent, where the bolt handle comes to rest, forward for 4 inches.  The crack has not affected its accuracy other than to drive me nuts at the sight of it and knowing that I "did the deed" that dropped it out of the tree stand and cracked it in the first place.

There is a gread discussion of a similar topic a few lines down in "Cracked Stock Questiion " that may get at your question quite well.  I learned a bunch from that one.  If you still have a question after looking at that I am sure the crowd here can help.

Good luck!
