I've got some new fed. 3" hull and BP12 wads and BPGS. Got a bag of 00 and #4 buck.  Looking for a buffered load for coyotes. Thanks

The Layman reloading manuals have the best slection of buckshot loading data that I have seen in any reloading manual.

Ballistic Products Inc. offers a reloading booket on just buckshot loads.
Also the Lyamn #4 Ed. Shotshell manual has good buffered buckshot data.
I have a bag of #0 and #1 buck, might try some myself.
Incidently Rem. Win. and Fed. all make really good factory buffered loads with copper plated shot. Pricey if you shoot a lot and I've only encountered 00 buck.

Loadbook USA has a compiled book of most of the current reloading data for the 12 gauge. It is about 3/4 inch thicker than their rifle compiled books. They list all of the data they can get ahold of. I think they are a good investment. I know they have several buckshot loads listed. You could also check out the IMR or Alliant web page. Both have reloading data free on line. They might have buckshot data too.

I too would love to reload for buck shot.  However, I have been told it is more of a pain in the a$$.  It would be easier to just buy the shells.  Some of my friends that have tried to reload say that trying to maintain any pattern is close to impossible. 

Anyone have this problem???

Loading Buckshot can be a PITA and is frustrating sometimes, but I load an awful lot of it. I cast my own 0, 00, 000 and 0000 Buckshot, buy any other size I feel the urge to load. (I quit loading 0000, can't find a good way to fit the shot in the shell. They won't layer proper). If I could get molds for the smaller sizes, I'd cast them too. I don't buffer any loads, won't until I get a pressure barrel set-up, but can get goot patterns without the buffer.

Buying factory loads is a crapshoot. The last Federal and Winchester 00 Buck loads I took apart were loaded with balls slightly smaller than 0 Buck. 00 Buck doesn't layer in 3's in a shotcup, so they nt with smaller pellets, still calling it "00".

For longer range predator shooting, I like either T or F shot, also called T Buck or F Buck. Good pellet count and large enough to reach out a little.
