Gents and Madams,

Over powder wad material and is an often asked question of the person new to BPCR cartridge loading.  Especially so if the shooter/reloader is transitioning from smokeless powder loading of centerfire cartridges.

Your expertise, wisdom and results are solicited.

You know I have tried just about EVERY type you can think of and after 8 years toying wads I finally decided at the target it just "doesn't matter".  Don't use them anymore.  Save you money and buy more primers.

Shortstake, you forgot one type of wad in the poll ... felt!  If it was good enough for Harry Pope and Ned Roberts, it's good enough for me.  And I use a lot of them for both GG's and PP's

JUST ONE VOTE for FELT?  Can't believe.  Remember this recipe:

38-55
Pope 255 gr bullet
52gr FFg
Felt Wad
Breech Seated

... and Harry was among the Best of the Best!
