I agree with Stimpy. I've been saying the same thing for the last 5-6 years. A rifle or carbine chambered in a straight walled cartridge such as what is allowed for pistols(357, 41,44,45, 45/70, etc...) would fill a niche between pistols and shotguns/muzzleloaders. I asked the former Crawford county game warden about that same question, and he told me that while it made sence to him, the state claims it would increase range or some kind of jibberish about being more lethal. Who knows? But yes, I would like a fall blackpowder season as well.
