Ah...no, not really. This time of year I am all busy with getting ready to go moose hunting. Whitetails will be later though.

As an aside, I did grab a gun deer licence the other day, and obtaind the reg book. GOOD GOD, hunting deer has become like fishing for walleyes in certain parts of the state -- you will need to refer to the book every time you step outta the truck. Geeze what a confusing mess.

Yea the regs are goofy for instance the 3 day waiting period if you buy a license after bow season opens. Who cares anymore even the wardens I have talked to say it does not make any sense anymore since the state is begging folks to kill deer.  ??? ??? ??? Back to the question at hand I went out a couple of times trying to ambush a goose but no luck so far. Hunting in a metro area and can only hunt a few places. I do not have a boat or decoys anymore so I am sitting where they may fly over and try to get some pass shooting in. I know Dove season is open but we do not have the good terrain for that I would bet it is better down south. We have doves but not where you might get good shooting at them as we do not have the farms ect up here.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Yep, sorta anyway... I got a dog training permit from the dnr, so I've shot a few (4) pheasants over my lab. He'd never seen one before, but sure likes 'em now. I'll try to do the last 4 I have on Sat. before I grab the bow lookin for deer-NO earn a buck this year wooohoo! ;D
