Moly lube question
« on: September 26, 2006, 06:23:08 AM »
I have been tinkering with cast bullets for many years but only recently become serious. I have seen a Moly lube by Lyman in catalogs. It supposed to be the cats meow for lead bullets. Has anyone used this? Pros/cons? I was thinking of trying the LBT lube also. Any thoughts about that?
Thanks.

I currently use only LBT Blue Soft, and can reccomend it without reservation.  I did use the Lyman Super Moly before, and can honestly say that it too is an excellent soft lube that works very well in a variety of applications.  LBT's stuff is great, but the Lyman is available more widely.  Either will serve you well in my opinion. I too doubt the moly thing amounts to much, I did have it produce higher velocity in one gun than the LBT stuff, but got the opposite results in other guns. Good luck.
