.22 Versa Pack and sticking brass
« on: October 05, 2006, 05:26:11 PM »
I searched the forum but couldn't find a posting about this.  Our .22 Youth Versa-Pack will shoot about 20 rounds before the brass starts to fail to eject.  It's really a pain to have to knock them out with a cleaning rod.  Any suggestions?  Polish the bore? How?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Polish the chamber then clean the ejector housing and ejector if the chamber polish doesn't help. If you R&R the ejector, polish the ejector claw and housing, put a BB behind the ejector spring to increase tension before you reassemble it. Ejector mod info can be found in the FAQ and Help sticky.

I found on my new versa pack, that the milling of the ejector doesn't match exactly with the chamber face.
No sticking of spent cases yet..but a slight bulge where the ejector doesn't match perfectly..may want to check that..
