I usually go by my Hogdon #26 manual on my loads for 45lc. It doesn't have different listing for lead or jacketed. It only lists the bullets in grains.
Here's my question/problem .... Hodgon sent me a Email that lists their "newer-updated loads" and it lists using 296 with a 250 gr XTP. I want to load 250gr LSWC and use 296. I called Hogdon yesterday and asked this question. The Guy wouldn't let me explain myself concerning the #26 manual and couldn't/wouldn't tell me why it didn't have seperate listings for different bullet types. He only wanted to talk about their newest manual ,which I feel isn't up to the standards I'm used to with reloading manuals.
I've loaded 260gr and 300gr bullets(lead) with 296 so I don't see what the problem is. Can ya'll give me any pros or cons for this?
