Apparently, President Bush has finalized a 100,000 acre land deal......in Paraguay, according to several sources it may fill the land may fill the bill for several reasons. Daughter Jena has been sent to finalize some of the arrangements, only problem is that according to IRS financial reports he doesn't have enough money to purchase the land at even $50 per acre.....fyi.....

So what's your point TM?   Did you buy your property with cash or did you take out a mortgage?  Bush has plenty of conections I'm sure he could float a loan from someone.

I dont think it is the money that is bothering tm7, I believe he is more upset that the president of the united states has chosen Jena over tm7 to represent the USA I guess Bush know more than some give him credit for. ;D   JIM

My neighbor bought a car last week..last year my cousin bought another farm.  Did they pay cash..or did they float a loan ?

Shucks !   ..I don't know and I don't care..none of my business and they haven't asked my opinion anyway..

Reading the very item you posted, really opened my eyes as to your "reliable sources"...which you quote as if they meant something.

   Let's see..

"The Guardian"..UK's "Enquirer".....borrows an article from CUBA NEWS AGENCY'S .."Prensa Latina"..

Well..we can be sure that the USA will be treated fairly by that Castro-controlled media..can't we...LOL

Even then...liberally sprinkled throughout the article are such adjectives as rumor, rumors, speculated  and "unconfirmed reports"...

...Sheesh ! ..Don't get me laughing so much..I'm blowing my coffee out of my noise...

So what is so newsworthy about the rumor that GW might be buying a big tracked of land in S. America and why was it important to point out that the IRS says he doesn't have the cash for it?  Could you not have just as easily asked has anyone heard anything about GW buying land in S. America... period?  Why did you have to make it sound as if there is some kind of conspiracy or crooked dealings going on?  Maybe Kerry's wife the pickle princess is holding the mortgage for Bush.  :D

For the record I am not terribly happy with a lot of the decisions GW has made but then again I am not privy to all the same information or advisers that he is so who am I to judge.  I also believe he is doing a far better job running our country given the current world circumstances than Clinton, Kerry or any of the other wishy-washy liberal pansies would be doing.  If the Dem's were in control we would have 20 million new Spanish speaking citizens by now, our military men and women would be marching to the orders of the U.N., and our taxes would have doubled.

Personally I think it's funny if you look at it in the right light. This is what popped into my head when I read the initial post:

I can just imagine him flying down and meeting with a group of farmers. They hand over an invoice. Bush reaches in his back pocket and takes out his wallet. He thumbs through it and counts under his breath. His eyebrows go up. He looks somewhat bewildered. He turns around and whispers something to the First Lady. She whispers back, "no, I left my purse under the seat in Air Force One." He calls over a secret service agent and hands him his ATM card...

Bush seems so much like a regular guy, that this informal encounter seems almost plausible.

I think you guys have discounted the obvious reason: Bushtopia!

TM7 actually it was to be a funny, but since you took it the way you did think back on most of what you post reguarding the President of the United States has been mostly negative so as to prove a point, your point of course, I feel no distain for him or anyone with money as it shows that him and others in their family were willing to work hard for it, while others complained about it. ;D  JIM

Rockbilly;

That trade won't work, 100,000 acres and an elephant maybe...

but he wouldn't go for any sort of mule...he doesn't have much time for the jackass party..

Ironglow. Personally I see nothing wrong with a good mule, I have worked them, rode em, trained em, and bought and sold them.  I just thought that would be a good trade, not implying that I am a dumbocrap, I just have a love for the long eared animals and have found them quite useful as a beast of burden.

No doubt, mules are good beasts of burden..even in my area where it is usually Belgians or Percherons where heavy dray work is required, mules have plenty of supporters..

The funny thing is TM7, that your duty to question always seems to be aimed at Republicans.  I guess there are no professional high political figures in the Dem's party.
