I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but....
Some people think it's cute to feed wild animals that come around their property. The price they pay is when the animals get used to being fed and animal takes it upon itself to do what it takes to get a meal.
Secure your garbage, Don't let anything outside that might attract animals.
Having wild animals pass by is probably what most people would like, until the animal gets used to Humans, garbage night, or table scraps, or gardens. If the food wasn't there, they would walk right by. An animals instinct is to eat what it takes to survive. If you make it easy for them, they won't pass the opportunity for a quick and easy meal. All they want to do is eat while expending the least amount of energy. If your property smells tasty, you will attract animals.l
I have heard a story of a woman who thought it was cute to feed a wild black bear. One night the door bell rang, time after time after time. When the woman opened the door, she was nose to nose with a Black Bear on the other side of the screen door. He was trying to get in her house. He was huffing and puffing, pushing on the door frame, which is where the door bell button was. Luckily, the Bear didn't know how to pull on the screen door, instead of pushing on it.
It wasn't so cute then.
