Price of .22s went up here
« on: October 24, 2006, 06:02:17 AM »
I was paying 4.79 for a hundred CCI standard velocity. Now the price at the same place is 5.99.

Have you seen a jump in .22 prices?

I bought a brick of 22 mags the other day and told the clerk that she must have rung it up wrong.  It came out to change under $80.00!!  I went to another store and paid nearly as much.  Story they told me is that rimfire ammo prices are up all around.

Yup.  Been paying $6.96 for a brick of Blazer picnic shells for as long as I can remember...they've jumped up to $7.76 a box now.  Center-fire rounds going up in price too.

Regardless, .22 shells are still a bargain.  Seems like I was paying a dollar a box for them, at the General Store, back in the 70's.

I've been paying $16 for a brick of CCI standard velocity for about 6 months.  If the price is jumping, I may be jumping on a case.

 :'(Up with prices!

Yep, they is go'in up!

Was told by a counter person that they had already rec'd and or were going to receive 2 - 3 increases.

This was in a Moscow (say Moscooooow, not "cow") Ideeehooo a couple months ago.

Moscow is located about 30 - 40 minutes from Lewiston where the CCI products are/were(?) made.

The "were(?)" is because with the parent company owning both CCI AND Feberal, who knows what we are getting and where it was made.

Realise an Ol'Coot like me can't stop "progress" but I sure liked it better before all the mergers blurred the lines between companies/products!

As per buying at Wally World, I don't!  Not since they came out in support of some "issues".  Both they and Ford Motor Company can go broke for all I care.

Keep em coming
