Question on H&R receivers

I know the standard rifle receiver is heat treated and the standard shotgun receiver is not, but what about the receiver for the 12 and 20 gauge Ultra slug hunter shotguns? Are they heat treated?

The slug guns use 10ga frames, but rifle barrels won't fit because they're larger than rifle frames. The frames are designated as SB2, but they aren't the same as the SB2 rifles use.

Does that mean they are or are not heat treated?

I don't know, shotgun pressures top out at 14kpsi, so there's no need for high pressure strength, but since rifle barrels won't fit on it, it's kind of a moot point. Ed Hubel's testing on his 12ga FH indicates that they may indeed be heat treated tho, FWIW.
