Read it and weep boys just getting back from a week vacation in the artic....brrrrrrrrr

Was -22 when I pulled the 1st sled load of gear into the cabin. Had a wolf on the bait within 3 hours (at midnight), tried a couple of pics but no good. Had a chance at 2 coyote the next day, took one, wounded the other (shot high).
Lax Lake was brutal at -10 air temp and -33 windhill. Had two northern come in and one was eatin size but I threw in front of his nose.

Here's a bunch of pic's of various highlights...also a short 2 min video out on the lake.

The ATV ran flawless despite the cold. Was able to pull start it every morning in -10 temps, took a long time to warm up though. Put about 45 miles on it. We took a run down to the Split Rock River with it. The river was froze solid and very cool looking.

The ATV hauled some monster wood loads in from my buddy "Corky" who gave me some nice big poplar trees the beaver had gone to town on next to his cabin. He's in a pickle with them...he want to keep them around but they are dropping stuff right next to his cabin. He put chicken wire around some of the trees hoping it works.

Apparently they don't like spruce trees. I recommended putting spruce boughs around the trunks. It'll look silly but might work?
But hey it was so brutal up there I had to really drag myself out into it. I only got out on the lake once, fortunately, I had unexpected guests show just as I reluctantly was heading out the door for day two.
The last pic is in the outhouse showing -18. Times like that a guy wishes he had high speed internet to download believe me
