1903 Springfield sporter
« on: October 18, 2006, 09:44:59 AM »
I picked up a 1903 Sporter today with the original stock, bolt, and a stargauged barrel. The reciever sight has been taken off and is gone, and it's been drilled and tapped with a K 2.5 Weaver made in El Paso scope on it.A gunsmith checked it out and said it was safe to shoot and was in very good shape, including the rifleing. The blueing is about 60%.
My question is,what's it worth? It was made in 9 month of 1932 and the bolt has the initial's NS for nickel steel.    Digger
