CZ Model 99, Precision, 22LR
« on: October 20, 2006, 05:43:06 AM »
I recently purchased a CZ model 99, precision at a gun show. It looks and shoots great. I checked the CZ website and did not see any inforlmaton about this very nice rifle. Can anyone give me some further informaton about this rifle. Information such as when it was available in the CZ line? Is it still produced? Can you obtain a target type stock for same? How about hi-cap mags? Any info would be greatly apreciated.

That rifle was actually manufactured by Zastava of Yugoslavia, not the Czech CZ that you are thinking of.  Do a search for Charles Daly (Superior II, I believe, which they carried until last year or so) or even Remington 5 (Remington is importing them under their name now) to find out more about them.  They seem to be nice rifles and if I ever bump into one, I might just have to take it home.  I haven't seen anything on replacement stocks or high capacity magazines, but their triggers are supposed to be pretty easy to adjust.

PS:  If the search here doesn't turn up much, try www.rimfirecentral.com.
