I assume you have one of the cast carriers as they had a bad batch and have seen a lot of breakage. if a new one is not found the old can be welded. Be very careful to keep the area that the carrier spring bears on cool or it will wear prematurely. A good welder with a MIG or perhaps a TIG can do the job. Wrap the part to be kept cool in cotton cloth and keep it wet.. Be sure to 'V' out the break to allow a better bond and put it in a jig to hold it square. I like the MIG best as we weld a bit on each side of the break to stabilize than weld only a bit at a time, allowing nearly complete cooling between welds.. This has worked for me before..
