Terry,

I know this doesn't answer your question directly, but I do have the Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14 X 40mm mounted on a Stevens .308 and it has proven to be an excellent scope.

My shootin buddy has the Buckmaster with the BDC reticle mounted on a Swede and he loves the scope.

I prefer Leupolds, but if the Omega is built like the Buckmaster, I would think you would be very happy with the scope.

Dave.

I have posted several posts in the Muzzleloader forum here at Graybeard on the subject. But I will tell you, the Nikon Omega BDC-250 is a great scope. I am shooting one on my Pro-hunter M/L and I get great accuracy at 200 yards. I have yet to try it at 250 yards, but I don't doubt it will work every bit as well as it does out to 200 yards.

I have always been a fan of Nikon glass. I have a buckmaster on my remington 700 in 7mm rum, and I am drawing a blank on the other scope, prohunter maybe? on my remington 11-87 slug gun. Both are crystal clear and have functioned flawlessly. They are both great at gathering light, if you look through the scope at an object, it looks brighter than if you use your eyes.
