Youth combo
« on: October 19, 2006, 12:30:06 AM »
I saw one of these at Wal-mart the other day, with a .22 and a .410 barrel. Is the reciever the same as any other reciever just using the superlilght barrels and stock? I was thinking of getting this if I could add on a .17 HMR and a full sized buttstock.
Thanks.

I'm not sure about the 17hmr barrel.
Some combo rimfires have offset bores to work with centerfire pin.

The stock will fit fine.

I'm not sure why but H&R will NOT fit any barrels to the 410 / 22lr combos and yes these combos have an offset bore for the 22lr. For that reason the 17 would not have the firing pin hit in the right place .

Sorry to burst your bubble . someone else asked this same ? some time back .

So would a centerfire caliber  barrel fit the reciever? Or is it offset ,too?
Thanks.

Maybe this thread from the NEF Rimfire forum will help answer your questions.

410 is centerfire so others should work.
