Who wants to learn...
« on: October 20, 2006, 09:56:17 AM »
Hi,
I was thinking about creating a topic and see if you would like to learn a little Icelandic tounge, since I'm from Iceland and I live there I can teach you a few words and sentence, I speak Icelandic but I have to write english here for you to understand me. :)
I'm just gonna' check how many want to learn and I'll teach you something, you can also come with words from english or sentence and I can translate them to Icelandic and teach you ;)
Now who wants to learn a new language? ;)

Stoverus:

Not right now. Whenever I undertake to learn a new language, I am always interested first about learning the spoken language and do not care much for the written language because of the importance of inflection and pronunciation. The only exceptions have been Latin and Ancient Greek, but then those were purely of historic interest back when I had the time to study them.

Got any good Icelandic handgunning stories to share with us?

Vertu saell!

I didn't even know Iceland had it's own separate language, live and learn.
