ruger mini 30 mags
« on: October 09, 2006, 04:22:09 AM »
has anyone had any good experiences with aftermarket hi-cap mags for the mini 30? I have 2 different mags a 20 and a 30 both are completely unreliable. If anyone knows where to get some that work, please share info!

jimmyjam101;
I've owned three USA Magazines, Inc 10 shot magazines for over 5 years. I modified one to allow it to hold 20 shots when the law allowed such. The unmodified mag has been utterly reliable through over 4,000 shots. The modified one has worked fine for about 500 shots, neither ever malfunctioning or causing a failure to feed in the Mini-30. I never opened the bag on the third one. These were purchased in 2001 within a week of my acquiring the rifle.

I'm pretty sure that Cheap as Dirt has them. Maybe Midway.
