quick hunt
« on: October 25, 2006, 01:54:43 PM »
Me and my buddy decided to do a quick hunt this evening after work.  We got into the woods about 4:30 PM  Walked about 1/2 mile into the woods and sat down on a high ridge over looking the river valley.  We were there about 20 minutes when two does and a young buck walked within 75 yards of us.  Well since its the anterless only portion of the muzzle loader season I took the first doe and Berry took the second.  We shot almost at the same time and bang we had two deer on the ground.  It was a !@#@@#@#$% of a rag to get them to the truck so now this quick hunt has turned into a long night butching and packing two deer.  But the is cold and Berry is doing up the deer and I'm vacum packing them. We got our own little production line going.  Could it get any better then this ????

I was shhoting my old huntsman open sights with a 295 gr power belt in front of 90 gr of pryodex select.  Berry was shooting a traditions XLT with a 295 gr power bel over two 50 gr pellets of T7.
