Marlin trigger

I noticed at the range today that the trigger on my 1895 Guide Gun wobbles around, whether the hammer is cocked or not. It seems to work fine, and maybe it's normal, but I've never noticed it before. Anyone else noticed this on a Marlin lever?

My 1895M does the same but I don't know if it's normal or not. Anyway I don't like it and I want to have it fixed one day or another

Sorry but the marlin design uses a seperate sear to hold the hammer cocked. The trigger doesn't bear directly. It would be possible to lessen the wobble and some of the slack but it really wouldn't help anything much..

You can buy a Wild West trigger for 100 bucks and it'll stop the flop, and give you a better trigger pull to boot. Or just not worry about it.
