Where to buy Black Mag 3?
« on: October 23, 2006, 12:06:45 PM »
I bought a can of BM3 a couple of years ago and I'm running low.  I bought it at the Cabelas in WV, but when I called them today, they told me they no longer carry it.  Anybody know where I can order some?  I also emailed Mag-Kor and I'm waiting to hear from them.

I have been in every gun store in Delaware and have not seen any. It has been a problem all over from what I understand. Nobody carries it and I don't think many distributors carry it. Good luck in your search.

Magkor seems to have had a problem with distributors. I am not sure what exactly took place but I understand that they are now selling factory direct. I have asked for an address to send orders to. I understand that they will sell direct to either dealers or to individuals. Obviously the dealers will get a better deal and everybody has to pay the hazmat fee. I am considering talking to a couple of dealers in my area to see if they will order a case if I promise to buy about five pounds from them. I have had real good luck with the two year old version in my Omega. The latest stuff is slightly different. They have added a couple of procedures to help eliminate the clumping problem and have also improved the shot to shot consistency (although I had no problem with that in my rifle). I will post the address as soon as I have it.

Thanks guys.  I'm still waiting on a reply from MagKor.  I called a couple of dealer in the VA area and they both had it in stock, but weren't set up to ship it.  Maybe I'll have to try another powder.
