Ordering stock from H&R?
« on: October 28, 2006, 06:35:06 AM »
I noticed under the H&R web page you can purchase stocks, do they come with the forend because they do not mention it at all and I do not see them listed any where on their web page.

One more thing how hard would it be to cut a barrel down with hand tools.  Would it mess up the accuracy will it have to be recrowned?

Thanks Mike H

There are part numbers for the stock and forarm both , you will need to order both , as for cutting the barrel yes it will need to be re-crowned , there is a web site that shows how to do it  , but i can't find it  . Maybe Quick will post it for you .

Ok i found it ,

Mike,

That information is all up in the FAQ sticky at the top of this forum. I will give you the guided tour this time, but do yourself a favor and go read that sticky.

What you are looking for is the Retail Parts Price List. You can call H&R/NEF at the toll free # that is also in that sticky. I will give you a link to Quick's PDF, but give it a little time to load if you have a slow puter like me. The bottom one is the one you want, the others are just to ahow you how you get there.
