That sounds like a good price to me too. A while back I talked to an ammo dealer; he said it was becoming increasingly harder for him to obtain 7.62x39. According to his story, Iran is buying all the ammo they can get their hands on, They are going to the manufactures and offering payment in gold to make their purchases. He also stated that a major US purchaser who had paid in advance was put on the waiting list for later production because all that is being made is being traded for the gold. As I understand, Iran has worked this deal with every manufacturer.
Makes me wonder if they are preparing for war, or supporting the terrorist in other parts of the world by providing ammo. Maybe both.
