freaky skunk

I was working some ground this afternoon and flushed a skunk.  It had far more white on it than normal.  In fact, it looked backwayds.  I could tell that it lower and underbody wr black but the white stripes were huge across the back and down the sides.  It appeared white with a thin black stripe rather than black with white stripes. 

Just out of curiosity, would that be a good thing in a pelt or bad?  And how do you skin a skunk with getting smelly yourself?

Skunks come in all color variations.  If you want to  procure this pelt for you own collection, you can either box trap and use and injection uthansia method or if caught in foothold you could inject also or use a 22 short and shoot skunk behind front shoulder in lung and heart area.  YOU DONT want to shoot skunk in head or spine as they will spray.  Once skunk as expired take skunk and lay on back and feel around anus and you will feel two of the large musk glands like testicles.  Use a razor blade or if you have a VERY VERY sharp knife , cut around the  anus and glands(with fur on) and take off and then skin skunk like regular fur bearer.   OR sell to interested taxidermist.
