CZ Ringneck's
« on: November 06, 2006, 03:49:17 PM »
Purchased a 20 gauge and 28 gauge Ringnecks wanting a matched pair.  Really liked the way the guns looked, how they came up and fit.  Had a great time hunting with them a few times last season.  While shooting clays this summer both guns intermitenly would fail to fire with firing pins hititing primers with a lite strike.  Take same shell and try a different barrel and it would fire.  Sent both guns back to CZ end of August for warranty repair and have not heard a word since.  Would like the guns back only if problem fixed.  Not real happy with how unresponsive ans lack of communication CZ has shown.  I even tracked down a local rep to see if he could do anything and he said CZ had them for a month without even looking at them. Has anyone else experienced these issues?

No experience as I have Bobwhites.  I have heard of this problem with thier single trigger SxSs, as I say I have heard of it only.  I like double triggers and from what I have heard and read this doesn't seem to be a problem.  Sorry to hear that thier service department is slow to respond, with other companys I have better results with the phone than e mail.

I can't even get them to answer the phone. All I get is a voicemail.  A local rep has taken up my sword and has done battle with them.  He indicated about 15 days ago they were going to get to to it.  Essentially it sat there for over a month with them not touching it. He said there was a backlog.

I read in the forum somewhere about someone purchasing CZ or them going bankrupt.  Either way I hope I am not stuck with no solution and no guns.  Would have invested in something more mainstream that worked.

Saw an Outdoo Life review of gun.  They indicated they had same problem I was having.  Liked the way gun looked as was put together but review seriously downgraded model for failure to fire occurences.  The over and under versions seem to work not certain way SXS is having the issue.
