Quote ONLY deleted by Graybeard. I have already deleted BOTH of the quoted comments so it really showed nothing anyway. I agree with the comments below. I can call names, Ramrod you need to get over yourself. This IS NOT a purist forum. If you want one I suggest you look elsewhere for it. You ARE NOT going to turn this one into such. So get with the program or get gone.

No I think even Davy Crockett would be sick of this eleitist attitude and constant slamming of other people.  I do not understand why some people have been allowed to stay with this site as long as they have with the way they are constantly ATTACKING others for a differance of opinion.  I enjoy argueing that a muzzleloader season is differant than a traditional season as much as the next guy, but God give it a break.  I am sorry if you are reading this and have nothing to do with it, but since the rules don't allow me to call ONE pain in the rear, handicap attacking, jerk with a God complex out by name I have to write it in general terms.  All I can say is "You" are lucky I have no control or you would at least be banned from this section of the forum.  Grow up and stop attacking people just because they don't agree with your limited view of the world.

Maybe the time has come for a forum in the middle ground.  Some were between traditional and inlines.  This is a great forum for getting info on flints and caplocks, but since so many feel the need to argue over synthetic stocks, scopes, powder, projectiles, etc., a new one maybe needed were people can ask ?'s and post stories with no verbal bashing.  I'd put it to poll if I thought they would ever allow it.  Hell I'd love to moderate with someone else.

To the moderators or GB if this must be edited please Pm me with  the reason why.  this is the fifth draft the other four were inappriote.  I have listed no names or banned words and hope you will be able to leave it as is.

Quote modified by Graybeard to stay in line with changes made in previous posts.

You have to be somewhat understanding of the rest of the hunting community. We can't all be Davy Crockets like you.

I agree. The attacks and put downs need to stop.
Lost Okie, let me apologize for the narrow mindedness you have had to endure when sharing your trip. I enjoyed hearing your story. It is too bad that when someone tries to share an experience they were probably looking forward to for a long time, other people have to ruin it.
I have a friend who went bowhunting for buffalo and said he enjoyed it and all meat he was able to take home. Nobody at our bowclub belittled him.

First, let me thank those of you who showed support...Yes, I enjoyed the hunt.  Could I have done better...My personal feeling on that one is that I can always do better, that's what practice and experience is for, that's why I like shooting muzzleloaders, reloading, making knives, powder horns, cooking and fishing.  Ya learn from your experiences.
Second, YE HA, I got a buffalo and YES it eats r...e...a...l good.  Wish ya'll were here to enjoy.
Last, let me apologize to the forum members who understand the above and for starting what I thought was a post about my hunt, not a post that seemed to stir it up.  If there is a next hunt.....and I plan on it.  I hope to get back to Montana for Bear.  Been there twice with the .54 and did not get a shot.  O Yea, I agree with Graybeards definition of traditional.  The club I belong to shoot mostly flinters, and they don't have a problem giving us caplockers grieve....in fun.  How it fires is not what its about.
