Expect A Change In The Weather Pattern For Texas Now
« on: October 12, 2006, 06:19:02 PM »
This was part of an email I got tonight from somebody with the NWS here in Texas:

There are two options in Texas weather – drought and flooding. And it
appears that with the developing El Niño we are moving from the first
option to the second. El Niño not only means more rainfall and storms,
it also means that severe weather frequently continues right on from
Fall and Winter into the Spring.

I didn't even try to access my favorite hunting area since Monday.  I am headed to my sisters place in Centerville to bow hunt tomorrow.  Not sure how much water she has gotten..

Well, it seems east Texas caught all the rain still.
In the San Antonio area, we're still a foot below the yearly average.

We are about due for our semi-annual deluge!
