Does anyone else have this problem

I probably should have put this in the inline forum(It is now! ) ..........but since you guys use sights, and normally not scopes (I have a Lyman Trade rifle and a CVA inline),
 I thought you might be able to help.

After deer season i like to load lite load in my inline (50 grains and squirrel hunt). Here is the problem. I can shoot my traditional rifle with open sights just fine, but can't in my inline. When ever I try to match the two green sites with the orange site in front everything becomes blury. I know i need new glasses (I have had these for 5 years), but as i said i can use iron sights just fine.....................as long as they are not luminous glow in the dark kind..............everything seems blury .

You might try replacing the rear fiber optic sight on your CVA with a Williams WGRS receiver peep sight. This sight works superbly with a fiber optic front sight blade. The idea is that you look "through" the peep (which will appear as a blurry halo with a correct sight picture) and focus on the front sight which should appear sharp & clear. This alleviates the problem of trying to focus your vision on two objects in the same focal plane (ie: front AND rear sights) and allows you to view a single image (front sight) similar to when you are using a scoped weapon.

I have this set up on my T/C Omega x7 and it works exceptionally well, so well in fact that I wouldn't even consider scoping the rifle. Williams makes this sight for both CVA round & octagon barrel models. Part numbers are 70154 (round) & 44737 (octagon), and either sells for about $35.00 Sights are available at most larger sporting goods retailers, or online at MidwayUSA.com

Gotta' take care of your eyes first and foremost!

Get some new glasses - then all that other stuff like lining-up the fiber-optics gets alot easier. Doing so makes the woods a safer place  for both of us.

The Williams peep sight works great. You can make the aperture bigger by removing the center part of the sight to aid in quicker target aquisition. The next problem might be seeing the squirrel around the front sight! But then your squirrels might be bigger than ourn.

Just break the fiber optic out of the sights and fill the holes with WHITE OUT and you will not believe the difference it makes.

I do this with all of my BP rifles.
