Formal cannon balls
« on: November 16, 2006, 04:12:32 PM »
A friend of mine just got back from vacation back east. He visited some civil war battle grounds and found these golf balls at Valley Forge. Said he just had to get me some! Pretty cool actually.
Yes, I know my little mortars aren't finished yet, just can't find the time to get them done. No powder can so used a AA battery.

That's easy, if the muzzle velocity is high enough!

Might even be able to break the sound barrier with the golf ball.

It would also be a good starting point to start over - putting the fragments of the mortar back together.

Pushing for a Darwin award are you? Where do I send the flowers? Or do I make a charitable donation?
