Red Dot Mounting on a Knight ML????
« on: November 15, 2006, 08:12:59 AM »
I would like to mount my red dot sight on my Knight Revolution II.  Problem is that the two piece rail mounts are spaced too far apart for the sight bracket.

Is there a one piece rail mount that lines up with a knight ML???

Has anyone ever run into this situation???

You just need one ring as far forward as you can get. They do make extended bases if you want 2 rings. But you don't need to look through a red dot as you would with a scope. Forward is better.

Surveyor,

The sight has a weaver style mount system (No rings). Its a clamping mech on the bottom.

The weaver mounting base is two pieces approx. one inch long each + or -. They are too far apart when attached to the taped holes on the gun.

Yes I want the sight mounted further up on the gun, but if attached to only the front mounting base (rail) it is only one inch long and attached to the guns receiver with only two screws...

That does not seem secure enough to hold the sight.

hamrhed,
Knight doesn't have a 1 piece base for any of it's ML's and no one to my knowledge makes one for a Knight. I've reccomended they make one but so far they haven't done it. The only way to get a 1 piece mount is to have a gunsmith do it.

OK! Here some blank stock you can or have a gunsmith drill the holes for you. No they don't make one for a Knight, but why have that stop you!
