No - it speaks volumes about your methods. You came and spouted/shouted at ALL of us, than after some heat you say something about "I didn't mean you" . You can brush it away since, if we don't do things your way, we can't be doing any good.

I agree - if you are to be our moral compass on this, please close this forum and let us keep doing what we have done for years.

Since the posts have been removed, they can't see that to a man (and I'm sure, woman) we support them - not one post said to Hell with the troops - most pointed out that we already do donate to/send to/support/honor the troops . I'm sorry if that is not meet your expectations.

I wonder if it ever entered your mind that you might have done more harm with your rant?

I fully Support our troops. I have said it HERE !
That is more than I can say for most of the people here it seems!
It is a shame that no one was even interested in this forum
until I pissed them off !!!! It is a shame that folks had to be
almost Baited to even see what this forum was about !
The website shows how many people view this forum.
There was Disgustingly few before I said something about it..
I have already received PM's and e-mail from folks who have appreciated
what I have said. One was a Viet Nam Vet who said he never even got a Welcome home!
I will stand and say something in support of them !
I could honestly care less who does not agree with what I said
I Know the truth Hurts Sometimes and makes folks mad ! Oh well !
I can see that no one here who actually is supporting the troops has any thing
to be angry about over what I have said ? That leaves those who are Not supporting
to get angry.  I think those who are getting angry may be feeling a little guilty.
As well they should.

I think you are taking this all wrong there are not to many people who do not support the troops. But this forum is mainly about the outdoors, guns and hunting.

We all know about the war and the troops, we come here for other things. If you google "support the troops forum" there is no shortage of that type of forum. I personally belong to many forums but I keep them all separate.

Your heart is in the right place but you are trying to punish the members of this forum for not having the same passion for it here as you do. The posts on all the forums were deleted because it was Spam. Let it go, join one of the many forums already on the net.

I'm the one who deleted the threads. I did it because it was doing more harm than good. As I see them I'll likely delete all of them.

Your heart was in the right place Sam but your approach was wrong. I wondered when I saw the first one how it would go across but decided at that time to leave them and see. Well it seems it's doing more harm than good.

I think that had you taken a different approach and just told folks that the new forum is there and invited them to drop by, take a look and perhaps participate without all the stuff about them being ashamed it would have had a positive effect. But as is it's having a negative one. But then hindsight is always 20-20 isn't it?

Folks just really don't want a forum at this site to talk about anything military as they've shown the other three times I've set them up. I don't think they are gonna use this one to set up hunts for soldiers as was intended. We'll give it enough time to see if folks will or won't use it. Eventually if not used it will be removed, same as with any new forum added.

I believe there is no doubt now were lots of folks stand
that is for sure. And some of them I have absolutely no respect for
now. This all came at a time when my niece is recovering from
injuries sustained from her service to our country and folks complacency
was kind of a slap in the face that I could not tollerate without responce.

I think at least for now it would be best to give it a rest. Later, at least until after the new year, might be a better time to try again after folks have had time to sorta forget that the approach taken this time got them angry would be a better time to try again. BUT next time try an invite not recriminations as that isn't going to help the forum along it will only hurt it.

Folks either are or are not gonna post to it and either will or will not do as Dave had hoped and take soldiers for hunting or fishing trips.
