East Texas 10 Point
« on: November 16, 2006, 03:48:47 PM »
My youngest son has hit the bulls eye three times this season.  The first two were during Oklahoma muzzleloader season.  He killed a nice 8 point and a 154 lb doe.  Yesterday, he connected on a 128" 10 point on our place here in east Texas.  He was usiing his Encore 270 with 140 gr Win Supreme Accubonds.  I had been watching this buck for 2 years with my game cameras, but yesterday was the first time that he had been "seen".  God bless the RUT!!!

WOW. That is a trophy for sure. Give your son a pat on the back for me. Most adults have never taken such a nice deer, let alone a 10 year old.

Very nice.  Looks like a heavy body.  What did he weigh?

Very nice buck.  Interested in bullet performance, if it was recovered, and how far it penetrated.  Always interested in good bullets in the .270.
