Model 700™ CDL™ SF Limited

Wouldn't this be a nice one to just put in the safe. Put a thick coat of cosmoline on it, save the original box and reciept. You know the 06 will be around for another hundred years to. I looked at one at Bass Pro the other day, man was it nice.

Nice for any purpose you see fit :)

Its on my "2 buy" list. I'm a sucker for any stainless barrel thats fluted.

I'm not sure how many of those .30-06 CDL SF LTD's Remington made but I hear this is the new "Classic".  I doubt they made too many.....however many they did make is all that will be.  If you wait too long, they could be gone.

The way I understand it, Remington will offer a different caliber every year, just like they did with the old 'Classic'.   My guess is that they will be SF's too.  But I don't know that as fact.  I will have to wait and see what Remington puts out like everyone else.

As far as the classics go, I dont care what caliber its offered in really. Last years was the .308 wasnt it? I dont think it was a Stainless Fluted version though, I could be wrong. If I dont nab one this year, I pray they atleast stick to the SF variety and just make it a different caliber. We will find out soon, I cant believe '06 is coming to an end in a couple months.

Yea it's a sweet looking rifle. The .30-06 model would be the one to get due to the 100 year stamp on the floor plate. That would make it so much more desireable to a collector than a SF LTD in another caliber.
Could you amagine if you put one of theese away and passed it down to your children and they passed it down to theres.
Come 3006 on the 200TH anniversry of the .30-06 what do you think this would be worth?????

THe Classic as a production model has been discontinued.  There will be no more new 'Remington Classics'.  The .308 was the last one.  That is a fact.

Rumor has it that Remington will come out with a new caliber every year in the CDL SF, as a partner to the .30-06 CDL SF.  Whether this is true or not.......who knows.

Big Green is on record saying this is the first of a series of CDL SS offerings...How about one in .280 Rem? ;D

Well we did it today. Me and my brother went to BassPro and were looking at the guns. My brother was about to buy a Sendero in .308 when I took a wild chance and asked the sales guy if they had any of the 100 year aniversary edition 06's in the back. He said I doubt it but let me go check. About 5 minutes later he came back with one (Sweet rifle) he said it was way in the back and it was the last one. It went home with my brother. He's going to mount a silver 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest in silver Leupold rings and two poece bases on it. He bought a box of 165 Federal Fusion, a box of 150 Remington Sirrocco's, a box of 165 Federal Gamekings and a box of 180 Remington Coreloks. I post range results soon......

He changed his mind on scopes. He decicded on the Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5-10x40 in black matte. We ordered it today from Jon at the theopticzone.

Well we made it to the range today and the Remington did VERY well. It shot about two inch groups with all of the loads tested except for the Remington 150 grain Sirrocco's which it really liked. The Sirrocco load was unreal we were actually shooting bullets through bullet holes at 100 yards almost everytime.
We didn't do anything to gun at all, like (trigger work or stock work it's bone stock). I am impressed with it especially after hearing all of the bad stories about new Remingtons...
